Creative Thinker and Visionary
Creating jewellery is not just about adding a bit of sparkle to your daily outfit. Jewellery has sentiment, meaning and we treasure the memories that are associated with it. It is from this point of view that I decided to start Makespace Studio – a space where jewellery can be made to suit personal preference and style. I am passionate about creating custom pieces of high quality jewellery that are aesthetically pleasing and speak about the wearer. I believe in celebrating what makes you unique – so why not create accessories to match that?

Lani du Toit studied BA Visual Arts (Creative Jewellery Design and Metal Techniques) and completed her Masters in Visual Arts (Cum Laude) at Stellenbosch University. She is a part-time lecturer at the Jewellery Division of the Stellenbosch University Visual Arts Department. She also enjoys being outdoors. When she is not in her workshop, you can find her hiking, camping, diving and climbing in the beautiful Southern Cape surrounds.
